*Job Description*

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accountant to support our school's daily accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Track company expenses and maintain organized accounting records.
• Assist with HST/GST calculations, filings, and remittances.
• Prepare documentation for year-end financial statements and external accountants.
• Perform other accounting duties as required.

*Qualifications*

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting software.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and HST/GST requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese is an asset.
