We have an exciting opportunity at our Stratford location for a full time Accounting Assistant.

*JOB SUMMARY:*

This position is expected to work collaboratively within the Accounting Department with the main function of Accounts Receivable. This position (along with the credit department) plays a crucial role in managing a company's incoming cash flow by tracking, applying and collecting payments owed by customers.

The smooth functioning of Accounts Receivable is critical to the financial health of the business because it directly impacts cash flow, which in turn affects the company's ability to pay its own liabilities and invest in growth.

*MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:*

• Accounts Receivable including cash application and receipt, scanning cheques, applying EFT's, preparing deposit slips, posting of invoices, processing credit card payments
• Ensuring invoices and statements are sent out on a timely basis.
• Payment and account reconciliations
• Handling customer queries and dispute resolution
• Maintaining relationships with customers
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Administrative duties including filing and data entry
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Other duties as assigned
