oriented Account Clerk to join our team.

Experience in transportation or logistics is an asset, but absolutely not a requirement.

The Role

As an Accounting Clerk, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day execution of our

finance function along with working with our Sales and Customer Service Groups.

This is a fast-paced position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail,

and the ability to think on your feet. Every day presents different challenges, and we're

looking for someone who enjoys finding solutions and taking ownership of their work.

What You'll Be Doing

? Process accounts payable, including entering, verifying, and coding carrier

invoices

? Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time

? Record and apply customer payments, deposits, and receipts

? Reconcile carrier invoices against shipment records in our Transportation

Management System (TMS)

? Assist with invoice dispute resolution with carriers

? Respond to carrier and customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments

? Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation

? Assist with month-end closing procedures and journal entries

? Prepare routine financial reports and summaries as requested

? Assist with expense reporting, payment runs, and cheque/EFT processing

? Support the accounting team with audits, sales tax (GST/HST) filings, and other

ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

? Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related

field, or equivalent work experience

? 1?2 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts

payable/receivable role is preferred

? Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices

? Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is

an asset

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

? Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

? Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet

deadlines

? Strong written and verbal communication skills

? Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

? Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is an asset, but not

required
