*JOB DESCRIPTION*

An Accounting Clerk performs the entry of accounting data under the direct supervision of the CFO.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

• Performs office duties such as opening mail, answering the phone, maintaining office supplies, and filing.
• Reviews and balances daily sales activity and enters applicable information into master spreadsheets.
• Prepares daily deposit and brings the deposit to the bank.
• Posts Accounts Receivable payments into the billing system.
• Reviews, enters and files Accounts Payable invoices.
• Performs three-way match of purchase orders, receiving reports and invoices.
• Generates payment batches on a monthly basis, and on-demand cheques as required.
• Performs collection duties as may be required. This may include contacting delinquent customers, reviewing and resolving customer billing issues and negotiating payment arrangements.
• Prepares letters to customers, suppliers and other parties as may be required.

*REQUIREMENTS*

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Strong work ethic
• Enthusiastic personality
• Strong desire to work for a reputable and profitable store

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
