Role Description This full-time, on-site Assistant Professor role is based in Islamabad and involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the assigned discipline. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, leading classroom discussions, designing and grading assignments and examinations, and providing academic advising to learners.

The Assistant Professor is expected to engage in scholarly research, produce publications, and participate in conferences or academic events. Additional activities include contributing to curriculum development, serving on departmental or institutional committees, and supporting outreach or community initiatives aligned with the University’s mission.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (PhD preferred; minimally a completed master’s degree in the field of COMPUTING preferably CS or SE).
• Demonstrated teaching ability, including course planning, instructional delivery, assessment design, and learner mentoring.
• Evidence of research potential or established scholarly record, such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy and the ability to work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental service, and adapt to institutional policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with educational technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and assessment.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching and research practices.
