Backend Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Backend Engineer based in Germany.

You’ll play a key role in developing the central API and backend services that power data, calculations, and core product experiences.

The role is primarily focused on Node.js and TypeScript , with a strong emphasis on API design, data modeling, performance, and developer experience.

You’ll take ownership of backend systems as products in their own right, ensuring they remain intuitive, reliable, scalable, and fast.

Your work will span both scaling established products and rapidly validating new ideas through MVPs and experiments.

You’ll collaborate closely with frontend, design, and product colleagues in a fully remote, asynchronous, and flexible environment.

This is an opportunity to have substantial technical ownership while helping shape both the engineering foundations and the future direction of a growing product.
