About the job

About the Role

We are an innovative European startup scaling its operations into Latin America (LATAM) and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) regions. We are looking for a dynamic, well-connected Community & Ecosystem Manager, based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, to build, nurture, and scale our regional presence from scratch.

In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between our European headquarters and local startup communities, venture networks, and strategic partners in both LATAM and MENA. Your primary mission is to establish our brand presence, foster relationships with key stakeholders (investors, founders, and accelerators), and drive local network growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Development: Map out and build relationships with key players in the LATAM and MENA startup ecosystems, including venture capitalists, angel investors, incubators, tech hubs, and founders.
  • Community Building & Engagement: Design and execute localized engagement strategies to nurture a vibrant community of users, partners, and early adopters across both regions.
  • Cross-Regional Bridge: Facilitate communication and knowledge-sharing between European stakeholders and regional markets, leveraging cultural and linguistic fluency across both LATAM and MENA.
  • Event & Program Management: Plan, host, and represent the company at regional pitch nights, startup panels, ecosystem meetups, and virtual or in-person community events.
  • Partnership Activation: Identify strategic local partners, co-create initiatives, and manage collaborations that accelerate our market penetration and brand awareness.
  • Feedback Loop & Reporting: Gather on-the-ground market intelligence, user feedback, and trends from LATAM and MENA, feeding insights back to our core product and marketing teams in Europe.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Geographic & Cultural Fluency: Deep familiarity with the business culture, startup landscape, and networking norms in Brazil, with the ambition to manage engagement across both LATAM and MENA.
  • Language Skills: Arabic fluency is required, given the MENA scope of this role. Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese is also required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Network: An existing professional network among startup founders, investors, or tech hubs in LATAM and/or MENA.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, high emotional intelligence, self-starter mentality, and comfort operating autonomously in a remote/hybrid setup across multiple time zones.
