Designer-Drafter

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Designer-Drafter search in the Cleveland, OH area.

This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Once acclimated to the role, you may work from home two days per week and in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Lead Project Engineer and project team to turn new product ideas and requirements into prototype or pilot designs.
• Use 3D modeling tools to design and accelerate time to market.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings from concepts, sketches, or existing designs, aligning designs with core manufacturing capabilities.
• Develop sheet metal designs using 2D and 3D tools, ensuring all tolerances are met.
• Recommend assembly and fabrication methods, and define the product’s mechanical, physical, and other characteristics to ensure it can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in design and drafting using 3D CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) preparation and management.
• Ability to accurately interpret engineering sketches and technical specifications.
