Director, Engineering

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Engineering based in Canada.

This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity focused on scaling high-performing teams across a global, remote-first environment. You’ll oversee multiple engineering teams spanning platform services, AI, and core financial technology products while partnering with teams across EMEA and APAC.

The role combines strategic leadership with strong technical involvement, giving you the opportunity to shape engineering culture, AI adoption, architecture, and delivery practices. You’ll help transform software development through agentic development practices, AI-powered engineering tools, and modern software delivery models.

As a metrics-driven leader, you’ll identify opportunities to remove friction, improve engineering efficiency, and raise technical standards. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, values autonomy, and enjoys building teams and systems for scale.
