About the job

Company Overview ACE Tankers C.V. (Ace) and its subsidiaries constitute a leading, rapidly growing international shipping company and operator. We hold a dominant position in the versatile and dynamic chemical tanker market. Our fleet consists of more than 50 modern, fuel-efficient tankers trading globally to serve top-tier industry customers. We are powered by a diverse team of 50 skilled professionals, primarily based in our Amsterdam headquarters.

Position Overview ACE Tankers is seeking an experienced ERP Business Analyst with a strong background in the shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience either as a Shipping Operator or as a Business Analyst on a shipping-domain system integration project.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across all ACE Tankers departments to analyse business needs, optimize operational workflows, and translate requirements into practical ERP solutions. You will serve as the core bridge between business users, internal IT teams, and external software vendors—driving initiatives from initial requirements gathering through to implementation and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Gather and document comprehensive user requirements, map operational workflows, and identify opportunities to simplify and automate business processes.
  • Solution Definition: Translate complex business needs into clear, functional, and technical specifications, including system integrations and reporting requirements.
  • Implementation & Delivery: Own assigned ERP workstreams, managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables in close coordination with business users, IT, and vendors.
  • Testing & Go-Live: Validate migrated data, coordinate functional and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), manage system defects, and support release deployment preparation.
  • User Adoption: Create user documentation, deliver training programs, and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions successfully meet business needs.
  • Day-to-Day Support: Act as the primary point of contact for ERP users, resolving system queries and operational issues, and escalating to IT or vendors when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Shipping Domain Expertise: Proven experience in maritime shipping is required, either as a Shipping Operator or through a system integration project within the shipping sector. Practical knowledge of vessel and voyage operations is essential; tanker industry experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Professional Experience: Solid track record in ERP business analysis or consulting, with demonstrated ownership of a major workstream or a full lifecycle implementation of a business-critical transactional system.
  • Technical Delivery Skills: Hands-on proficiency in requirements gathering, data migration processes, structured testing methodologies, UAT coordination, defect tracking, and release management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. A self-starter mindset with a proven ability to take independent ownership of tasks.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
