About the Role Quectel is looking for a Field Application Engineer to support customers in Brazil across the full Quectel wireless portfolio. As the technical link between customers and Quectel's R&D and product teams, you will guide customers from module selection and design-in through validation and mass production, deliver on-site training, and turn customer feedback into practical Quectel solutions for their applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Quectel's entire product portfolio, including 5G, LTE/LTE-A, UMTS/HSPA, GSM/GPRS, LPWA and GNSS wireless technologies.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and customer training on Quectel wireless modules and development tools.
• Respond quickly to customer technical enquiries, and be prepared to travel for on-site support.
• Give product presentations and conduct product and tool training for customers on-site.
• Provide tangible feedback and feasible Quectel solutions to customers, according to their applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer, applications engineer, or in embedded hardware/wireless product development.
• Solid knowledge of cellular technologies (5G, LTE, LTE-M/NB-IoT, 2G/3G) and/or GNSS.
• Hands-on experience integrating wireless modules into customer designs, including AT commands, hardware interfaces, and RF/antenna considerations.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and network issues using lab tools and logs.
• Strong presentation and customer-facing communication skills.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional working English.
• Availability to travel for on-site customer support and training.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with Quectel modules or comparable cellular/GNSS module vendors.
• Experience with schematic and PCB layout review for RF designs.
• Familiarity with ANATEL certification and carrier approval processes in Brazil.
• Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or C/C++ firmware development.
• Working Spanish.
