Head of Operations / COO

ABOUT THE ROLE

A seed-stage AI company serving manufacturers is hiring a Head of Operations / COO to own the day-to-day operation of the business. Working closely with the founders, you will connect customer delivery, supplier and freight operations, and product development as the team grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own customer onboarding, order execution, supplier and carrier coordination, and issue resolution.
• Build the processes, metrics, and playbooks needed to serve more manufacturers with a lean team.
• Work with engineering to prioritize which operational workflows AI agents should automate.
• Manage supplier and freight operations, including vendor relationships and service quality.
• Hire and lead the operations team as the business grows.
• Partner with the founders on planning, finance, and company priorities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Six to ten years of experience, including senior operations leadership as a Head of Operations, COO, VP or Director of Operations, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience at an early-stage or younger company, with the ability to work hands-on and build processes from the ground up.
• Strong skills in working with numbers, systems, and process design.
• Experience in CPG, food, supplements, cosmetics, chemicals, or related manufacturing, or at a company serving these sectors, is helpful.
• Freight brokerage or third-party logistics experience, or experience as a founder or early startup employee, is a plus.

LOCATION

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days a week. Relocation within the United States is welcome.
