Human Resources Assistant

Role Description The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Santa Ana, CA. This position supports daily HR operations, including weekly payroll processing, maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding, and helping administer benefits and company policies.

The role includes coordinating training sessions, supporting performance review processes, and assisting with compliance-related documentation. The Human Resources Associate will respond to employee inquiries, support recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews and processing new hire paperwork and help organize HR-related communications and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in Human Resources (HR), HR Management, and HR Operations, with the ability to support core HR processes and maintain accurate employee records.
• Experience with payroll processing, ideally in a collectively-bargained business environment, preferably using Paychex or ADP.
• Bilingual in Spanish STRONGLY preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
• Knowledge of basic employment law, HR best practices, and handling confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency with HRIS or HR-related software, and strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
