About the Role

My client is seeking a proactive and organised Marine Logistics Coordinator to manage time-sensitive deliveries of vessel parts, equipment, and supplies to ports throughout the Houston area.

Working closely with shipping agents, freight forwarders, trucking companies and customers, you will coordinate shipments, monitor delivery schedules and ensure goods reach vessels on time.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate vessel deliveries to Houston-area ports and terminals.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with transport providers and port contacts.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or logistical issues.
• Manage shipping documentation and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Communicate shipment updates to customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate urgent deliveries and adapt to changing vessel schedules.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or transportation.
• Experience with port deliveries, vessel operations, or marine logistics is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipment-tracking systems.
