About the job
A love of colour, a way with words.
At Farrow & Ball, we know a thing or two about colour. From the stories behind our shades to the inspiration we share with customers around the world, every word has its part to play.
We're looking for a talented Mid-weight Copywriter to join our Marketing team in Dorset. Someone who loves finding just the right words, has an eye for the finer details and can bring fresh thinking to the way we tell our stories.
Whether you're dreaming up a headline for our next campaign, sharing colour inspiration on The Chromologist or writing content for our website, you'll help bring the world of Farrow & Ball to life.
You'll also play an important role in shaping and championing our distinctive tone of voice, making sure everything we say sounds unmistakably Farrow & Ball.
What you'll be doing
There's plenty of variety in this role, and no shortage of opportunities to get creative.
- Bring our stories to life. Write engaging copy for campaigns, newsletters, websites, social media and printed materials.
- Inspire through colour. Create thoughtful, inspiring content for The Chromologist, sharing colour advice, ideas and inspiration with our customers.
- Champion our tone of voice. Help develop and maintain our distinctive writing style across the business, supporting colleagues and international teams to get it just right.
- Make every word count. Write engaging, SEO-friendly website content that inspires customers and supports our digital ambitions.
- Create a lasting impression. Develop headlines and messaging for retail campaigns, showroom displays, packaging and marketing materials.
- Have an eye for detail. Proofread and edit content from across the business, ensuring everything we share is clear, accurate and consistent.
- Work together. Collaborate with colleagues across Creative, Digital, PR, Sales and Marketing, as well as external copywriters and translation partners.
- Bring fresh ideas. Stay curious about new trends, tools and technologies, finding opportunities to make our content even better.
What you'll bring
You'll be someone who enjoys the creative process as much as the finished piece. A natural writer who can turn a simple brief into something engaging, while knowing when less is more.
We're looking for:
- Experience in a copywriting role preferably inhouse.
- Experience of working within the luxury sector, or a premium brand (or a passion for interior design).
- A flair for writing engaging, original content across a range of channels.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- An understanding of SEO and writing for digital audiences.
- The ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences while keeping a consistent brand voice.
- Confidence managing multiple projects, deadlines and priorities.
- A collaborative approach, an open mind and a willingness to share ideas.
An interest in interiors, design or colour would be lovely, but it's your writing ability, creativity and enthusiasm that we're most interested in.
