About the job
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Business Partner based in United States.
As a Platform Business Partner, you will manage and grow a portfolio of strategic platform partnerships that drive distribution and revenue for a global health insurance product. You will take ownership of partner relationships throughout the entire lifecycle, from commercial negotiations and onboarding to renewals, expansion, and long-term growth.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and internal product, engineering, and growth teams, you will turn promising partnerships into scalable revenue channels. You will use data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities, strengthen partner performance, and proactively address retention risks.
In this fully remote role, you will help build repeatable systems that enable partners to succeed with minimal ongoing support. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven relationship builder who combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a strong focus on measurable results.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and close platform partnership deals generated through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, and partner referrals.
- Manage platform relationships end to end, including commercial discussions, onboarding, ongoing growth, renewals, and expansion.
- Identify and activate key revenue opportunities linked to product launches, renewals, and new product releases.
- Build trusted relationships with partner leadership teams and act as a strategic advisor on growth opportunities.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), using performance data to recommend growth strategies and agree on actionable plans.
- Develop scalable processes, systems, and partner enablement resources that help partners sell the product effectively without requiring intensive ongoing support.
- Identify early signs of churn and collaborate with relevant internal teams to implement mitigation strategies.
- Within the first 90 days, take primary ownership of five Tier 1 platform accounts and lead at least one renewal negotiation through to signature.
- Complete at least two QBRs with Tier 1 partners, each resulting in a written growth plan with agreed next steps.
- Deliver at least one partner enablement session, such as sales training or a member webinar.
- Assess portfolio health and risks, documenting mitigation plans and building a pipeline of at least three qualified new partnership or expansion opportunities, with at least one in active commercial discussions.
- Present a 6–12-month portfolio growth plan by day 90 and close the first new platform partnership within six months.
Requirements:
- Experience managing a portfolio of accounts or partners with direct revenue ownership.
- A track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and managing long-term commercial partnerships.
- Experience working with platform or ecosystem partners, ideally within SaaS, fintech, or HR technology.
- Comfort collaborating on API-driven or technical integrations and working closely with product and engineering teams.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills and a demonstrated ability to translate partnership initiatives into measurable revenue outcomes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities effectively.
- A proactive, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to identify opportunities, solve problems, and experiment with new approaches.
- Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, creativity, independent thinking, and a strong commitment to integrity.
- A genuine interest in helping build a global social safety net for people working across borders.
- Availability to work within a time zone between UTC+0 and UTC+6 to collaborate effectively with partners across Europe and Asia.
Benefits:
- Fully remote work environment, with the flexibility to work from anywhere globally.
- Worldwide health, income, and travel coverage through the company's own global safety net.
- A minimum of four weeks of vacation per year.
- A new laptop.
- Potential eligibility for equity compensation.
- Annual home office allowance.
- Permanent, full-time employment.
- The opportunity to build and scale strategic partnerships in an international, mission-driven environment.
