About the job

Horário: Full-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, write, and maintain automated tests across API, UI, integration, regression, and data layers using defined frameworks and standards;
  • Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into test cases and automated scenarios in partnership with developers and product owners;
  • Extend shared automation frameworks with reusable components, utilities, fixtures, and test data builders;
  • Migrate existing manual regression suites into automation, prioritizing high-risk and frequently executed flows;
  • Keep test suites fast, stable, and trustworthy by investigating flaky tests and removing redundant coverage;
  • Apply AI tools (LLMs, GitHub Copilot) daily to generate test cases, test data, and automation code;
  • Pilot and roll out AI-driven testing techniques such as self-healing locators and AI-assisted failure triage;
  • Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure), configure quality gates and dashboards;
  • Manage test environments and test data in collaboration with DevOps;
  • Track and report quality KPIs (automation coverage, pass rates, defect leakage, execution time);
  • Participate in incident management: triage, reproduce issues, validate fixes, and contribute to root-cause analysis;
  • Work embedded in Agile/Scrum teams, pair with developers, and mentor junior QA engineers.

PROFILE

  • 4+ years in QA or software testing, with at least 3 years writing test automation in production codebases;
  • Solid coding skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java;
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured or equivalent);
  • Strong API testing skills (REST, JSON, authentication, contract and schema validation);
  • Ability to plan and run manual testing (end-to-end and integration scenarios);
  • Experience running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps);
  • Practical use of AI tools (LLMs, Copilot) to speed up test design and automation code;
  • Good command of Git, code reviews, and clean-code practices;
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams;
  • Fluent English (mandatory).

OFFER

  • Contract with IT House | Egor Group;
  • Base salary + Meal allowance;
  • Hybrid model (Lisbon);
  • Other corporate benefits.
