Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, you’ll play an important role in turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making across the organisation.

Working within our Analytics & Innovation team, you’ll use Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Azure to develop scalable analytics solutions, from data modelling and transformation through to dashboards, reporting and visual storytelling.

You’ll partner with stakeholders across the Bank to understand business challenges, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide the insights needed to make informed decisions.

What you’ll do

• Translate complex business problems into analytical questions and actionable insights.
• Develop high-quality dashboards, reports and self-service analytics using Power BI.
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Design and maintain semantic and data models that support performance and usability.
• Support data ingestion and transformation using Azure services.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and define meaningful success measures.
• Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify opportunities to automate, optimise and modernise analytics solutions.
• Contribute to experimentation and proof-of-concepts using data and analytics.
• Support the adoption of new analytics tools and capabilities across the organisation.

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and analytical data stores.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• The ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to data governance, data quality frameworks or regulatory environments.
• Experience within financial services or another regulated industry.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field.
