About the job
Some of the world’s best known manufacturers want to plug into this platform. There’s no integration team to make it happen yet. You’d build it.
A fast growing company on the Gold Coast needs a Senior Integration Engineer to set up its integration capability from scratch and lead the squad that runs it.
The company A scale up built on a data set few competitors can match, in an industry that’s moving fast toward automation. Their customers already include some of the largest operators in their market, and they’re expanding internationally. The goal is to become the richest source of data in the industry, and integration is how they get there.
Who you’d join You’d start with one engineer and grow the squad from there. You’d work closely with the principal data engineer, and deal directly with partner engineering teams and enterprise customers, with no project manager in the middle.
The culture It’s a close knit team that works hard and gets on well. People spend time together outside work too, whether that’s a run, a ride, a few drinks or a weekend on the coast. It’s a friendly, happy place to work, and new people get brought into the fold quickly.
In practice:
- Design and build integrations with manufacturers, enterprise systems and data providers
- Bring in live data through partner APIs, alongside legacy data like 15 years of records sitting in a spreadsheet
- Work across SFTP, REST, GraphQL and MCP
- Map messy incoming data into clean schemas with the principal data engineer
- Push for AI led, more automated ways of integrating
- Hire, lead and mentor the squad
What you’ll bring You’re likely a senior back end engineer with five or more years building APIs and complex integrations that handle high volumes of data on AWS. You’ve probably come from somewhere fast moving, like payments, fintech or scale ups.
- Integrations with external partners at enterprise scale, from file transfers to modern APIs, and a good grasp of service oriented architecture
- Strong data skills. You can model messy data, map it into clean schemas and tune the databases behind it
- The confidence to run technical conversations with partner engineers and enterprise customers yourself
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers
- .NET / C# would be ideal but we are open to all languages
GraphQL, Python and AI or MCP based integration work are a bonus. If you haven’t done every part of this, still apply.
Why it’s worth a look You’d build a team and a capability from day one, with the data and the partners already lined up. The work is hands on and AI driven, and the company is growing overseas.
