About the job

About Us:

Paddy Labs is a fast-growing digital company operating across multiple international markets. We work in a fast-paced environment focused on performance, collaboration, and continuous growth.

The Role in One Line Design the ads, landing pages and ecommerce experiences that take a customer from scroll to secure checkout, use AI to automate the creation of our services sites, while owning creative execution end to end as our dedicated senior designer, with a clear path to leading a creative team and shaping our future mobile products.

About the Role We are looking for a performance minded senior designer who understands the full customer journey: why a viewer stops on an ad, why they click, what makes them trust a page and what makes them complete a card payment. You will take a brief, raw assets and an offer and turn them into fast, clear, conversion focused creative across ads, landing pages and checkout.

As a card payments merchant, our design must do two jobs at once: convert and build trust. Clear pricing, honest offers, visible terms and a smooth checkout matter as much as a strong hook, because they protect the customer experience, reduce refunds and chargebacks, and keep us aligned with our payment partners' requirements.

The role has two clear modes. For our services sites, speed and consistency matter most: you will use AI tools, templates and automation to generate service pages and their front end quickly, based on the needs of the Operations team, with human review focused on accuracy, brand and compliance. For ecommerce, craft matters most: this is where we need a real creative designer, investing time in design quality, product presentation and conversion.

For now, you will be the owner of design at Paddy Labs. You will not have a team around you, so you need to be self-directed, organised and confident making good creative calls on your own. Over time, we expect this role to become the foundation of a creative team and to extend into future projects design, and we want someone who is motivated by that path.

Core Creative Logic

HOOK → PROBLEM → SOLUTION → PROOF → OFFER → CTA → TRUSTED CHECKOUT

Main

Responsibilities:

  • Performance ad creative:

Design and edit paid video and static ads for Meta/Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/Google, Reddit and other social channels.

Build strong first 1 to 3 seconds using clear hooks, pattern interrupts, product first openings and native pacing.

Create clear, persuasive CTAs that make the next action obvious without making the creative feel forced.

Work with UGC, product footage, B roll, testimonials, voiceovers, reviews, images and AI generated assets.

Create multiple testable variations from one concept: different hooks, openings, offers, CTAs, formats and lengths.

Adapt creative to each platform instead of simply exporting the same edit everywhere.

  • Ecommerce design (where creative craft matters most):

Design high converting ecommerce landing and product pages, from hero section to checkout, keeping message and offer consistent with the ad that brought the customer there.

Present products, bundles and offers with confidence, investing real creative time where ecommerce design quality drives revenue.

Design checkout and payment page experiences that feel secure and simple: trust signals, clear pricing, visible billing and subscription terms, refund and cancellation information, and minimal friction.

Create landing page and product page video assets, including hero and background video, product demos and conversion supporting sections.

Design mobile first, responsive layouts and prepare clean, well organised handoff files for developers.

Support A/B and conversion rate testing on pages, including variant layouts, headlines, offers and CTAs.

  • AI powered services sites and front end automation

Build and maintain AI assisted workflows that generate services sites and pages quickly and consistently, including their front end code.

Work with the Operations team to understand their needs for new services, capture requirements through a simple, repeatable brief and turn those needs into live pages with minimal manual design time.

Create the reusable page templates, components, content structures and prompts that make automated page creation reliable.

Use AI design and coding tools to produce responsive HTML/CSS and front end components, publishing through our site builders or handing off to development where needed.

Make sure every services site includes the content our payment partners expect, such as clear service descriptions and pricing, terms and conditions, refund, cancellation and privacy policies, and contact details.

Quality check all AI generated output for accuracy, brand consistency, pricing, claims and compliance before anything goes live. AI speeds up the work; the designer remains accountable for it.

Document the workflow so it can be scaled, measured and improved over time, and look for further automation opportunities.

  • Brand, process and future product:

Own the full creative workflow from brief to delivery, including prioritising requests, managing deadlines and quality checking your own work.

Build and maintain the brand guidelines, design system, templates, naming conventions and quality standards that a future creative team will work from.

Apply payment partner and card brand logo guidelines correctly and make sure offers, claims and pricing shown in creative match what the customer is actually charged.

As the roadmap develops, contribute to the UI and UX design of our mobile app products, from early wireframes to polished screens.

What You Will Bring

-The experience and mindset we are looking for:

-Direct response design: Creative is not finished because it looks good; it is finished when the message is clear, the flow works and the CTA has a purpose. -Paid social creative: Meta and TikTok experience are essential. Google/YouTube and Reddit experience are strong advantages. -Hooks and retention: Understands scroll stopping openings, watch time, pacing, curiosity, proof and when to reveal the product or offer. -Landing page and conversion design: Understands page hierarchy, message match, social proof, objections, pricing presentation and mobile shopping behaviour. -Trust and payments awareness: Understands what makes a customer comfortable entering card details: security cues, transparency, clear terms and no surprises at checkout. -AI and automation mindset: Sees AI as a production tool, not a shortcut: knows where automation should replace repetitive page building and where human creative judgement is essential. -Testing mindset: Comfortable creating variants quickly and learning from winners instead of treating every piece as a single use asset. -Instruction and brand accuracy: Can follow exact product, pricing, branding and compliance instructions without changing things that must remain fixed. -Independent judgement: Can flag a weak hook, unclear offer, misleading claim or confusing checkout step and suggest a stronger alternative. -Ownership: Comfortable being the only design specialist in the business: sets their own priorities, manages their own workload and holds their own work to a high standard without a reviewer. -Leadership potential: Shows the judgement, communication and standards needed to review, brief and develop other creatives in the future.

Expected Skills Strong hands-on design in Figma, including components, auto layout, responsive frames and prototyping.

Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) for static ads, brand and marketing assets.

Confident video editing in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.

Proven experience designing landing pages, websites or ecommerce stores that were built and launched.

Experience with DTC, ecommerce, subscription or performance marketing creative.

Confident with subtitles, motion graphics, sound design, product callouts and mobile safe layouts.

Comfortable using AI tools for ideation, imagery, B roll, voice, localisation, cleanup and fast creative variation.

Hands on experience with AI page and front end generation tools (for example Claude, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Framer AI or Webflow AI), with practical prompting skills and the ability to edit the output.

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript, enough to review, adjust and fix AI generated front end code.

Basic copywriting instinct, especially hooks, benefits, objections, offers, pricing and CTAs.

Basic understanding of CTR, CPA, ROAS, CVR, watch time, hook rate, bounce rate and checkout drop off.

Good file hygiene, versioning, naming and ability to work fast without losing quality.

Strong time management and stakeholder communication, with the ability to push back on unclear briefs and agree priorities directly.

Web, Payments and Mobile Knowledge (Strong Advantage) Familiarity with Shopify, WordPress, Webflow or landing page builders. Front end work is expected through AI tools and templates, but this is not a backend or full developer role.

Understands compression, autoplay and muted behaviour, accessibility, mobile responsiveness and page speed trade-offs.

Experience designing checkout, payment, subscription or account flows is a strong advantage.

Experience building templated or programmatic sites, or automating page creation at scale, is a strong advantage.

Awareness of card brand and payment partner logo usage and of advertising standards around offers, free trials and pricing claims.

Understanding of iOS and Android design conventions (Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design), or a clear interest in growing into mobile app design.

What Success Looks Like You can take a service or product, audience, offer and raw assets and turn them into several credible ad concepts and a page to support them.

You execute instructions accurately without needing every detail explained.

You know that a better hook, stronger proof, clearer pricing or a simpler checkout can matter more than prettier design.

You create variations fast enough to support real paid media and page testing.

You improve creative based on results rather than personal taste alone.

Customers see consistent, honest offers from ad to checkout, with no surprises.

Operations can get a new services site live quickly through a simple brief, with minimal design time and every required policy and page in place.

Time saved through automation on services sites is reinvested in higher quality ecommerce creative.

You work independently as our sole designer, managing your own priorities and stakeholders.

You build the standards, design system and processes a future team can follow, and show the judgement to lead that team and our mobile design.

This is not a remote position but we're flexible to call it hybrid.

You must live in Madeira Island and we require weekly attendance in the office for, at least, two days.

If this position is of your interest and aligned with your experience in performance marketing, please email your CV to ---@--- .

Please note that due to the multicultural nature of our company, we will only consider CVs written in English.
