Senior Research Associate - Process Development

BrainChild Bio is seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven Senior Research Associate to join our Process Core team within Process Development. The successful candidate will be part of a team of associate scientists and engineers that design, execute, and analyze experiments supporting process development studies, material generation runs, automation efforts, and process characterization activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and execution of experiments to support cell therapy process development including Design of Experiments (DOE) studies to efficiently optimize unit operations
• Coordinate planning activities prior to study execution including batch record authoring and reagent/material preparation
• Independently troubleshoot study execution challenges, evaluate potential impacts, and recommend path forward
• Document experiments in a timely and thorough manner using electronic laboratory notebooks
• Perform statistical data analysis using JMP software
• Author study reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results
• Present experimental findings to cross-functional teams following study completion

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other related discipline
• 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience. Prior experience in cell therapy industry preferred.
• Proficiency with mammalian cell culture sterile technique
• Proficiency with lab electronic notebook and report writing
• Flexibility with work schedule (i.e., occasional weekend work)
