Senior Software Engineer (Python)

We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team. If you have strong experience building scalable backend systems, developing integrations, optimizing databases, and contributing to technical architecture, this is your opportunity to work on impactful software products in a collaborative engineering environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django
• Build and extend platform plugins, extensions, and third-party integrations
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and write efficient queries
• Write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews and Git workflows
• Participate in CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical improvements, and system scalability
• Help identify and resolve performance, reliability, and backend engineering challenges

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of professional Python development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Django experience in production environments
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.10+, Django, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Docker, and Git
• Strong experience with automated testing using Pytest and/or Django TestCase
• Experience building or extending applications using plugin or extension architectures
• Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs such as payment gateways, loyalty platforms, or similar services
• Solid understanding of database design, query optimization, and backend performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable production code

Preferred Extras

• Experience with Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, Linux, and Bash
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and Vue.js
• Experience with Arabic RTL localization
• Background in e-commerce, ticketing systems, or payment integrations
• Familiarity with OWASP security best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployment environments
