Job Title - Senior UAT Test Analyst

Working days & Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Work From Office - 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM IST/ Work From Home - 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM IST
• Work Mode – Hybrid (minimum 2-3 days in Office per week)

The Senior UAT Test Analyst leads end-to-end UAT in an Agile environment, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are release-ready.

The role coordinates business stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams while driving UAT governance, reporting, team mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

UAT Planning and Coordination

• Lead UAT planning and coordination aligned to sprint cycles and release roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts during backlog refinement to ensure user stories are testable, clearly defined, and aligned to business intent.
• Contribute to and uphold the Definition of Ready (DoR) and validate delivery against the Definition of Done (DoD) from a business acceptance perspective.
• Ensure UAT activities are embedded within Agile delivery rather than treated as a downstream phase.

Test Design and Execution

• Take full ownership of designing, documenting, and executing end-to-end UAT scenarios based on user stories and business workflows.
• Validate functionality across multiple platforms (mobile, web, desktop) ensuring comprehensive business coverage.
• Apply exploratory, risk-based, and scenario-driven testing techniques to proactively identify gaps and edge cases.
• Oversee execution quality and provide guidance to junior analysts during test cycles.

Requirements and Business Impact Analysis

• Lead collaboration with business stakeholders and Product Owners to interpret complex requirements into realistic end-user journeys.
• Challenge ambiguous or incomplete requirements and propose mitigation strategies to reduce downstream risk.
• Apply strong business domain knowledge to assess defect severity and articulate end-user impact clearly.

Regulatory and Governance Oversight

• Ensure UAT activities align with regulatory and organisational requirements including GDPR, Consumer Duty, and PCI compliance where applicable.
• Promote governance standards, audit readiness, and traceability across UAT documentation and reporting.
• Provide assurance that compliance considerations are validated prior to release approval.

Defect Management and Resolution Leadership

• Identify, document, and prioritise defects with clear articulation of business impact and risk.
• Collaborate closely with Developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and ensure timely resolution within sprint timelines.
• Escalate material risks that may impact release readiness or business operations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Provide clear, structured updates on UAT progress, risks, and release readiness to business and delivery stakeholders.
• Facilitate business participation in UAT cycles and ensure feedback is captured, prioritised, and reflected within the product backlog.
• Confidently communicate complex issues in a way that is understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain UAT dashboards and reporting to monitor progress, defect trends, and release confidence.
• Produce comprehensive UAT summary reports to support go-live decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve UAT processes, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement models.

Mentorship & Team Development

• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior UAT analysts.
• Promote best practices in test design, defect management, and stakeholder communication.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and quality-focused team environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in manual software testing, including demonstrable leadership within UAT activities.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Insurance) is advantageous.
• This role requires alignment to UK Business hours.
