Role Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and extend platform plugins and integrations.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases and write efficient queries.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews and Git workflows.
• Participate in CI/CD, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional Python development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Django experience in production
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.10+, Django, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Docker, Git, and automated testing (Pytest/Django TestCase)
• Experience building or extending applications with a plugin/extension architecture
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, loyalty platforms, etc.)
• Solid understanding of database design and query optimization

Nice to have:

• Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, Linux/Bash
• Basic JavaScript/Vue.js
• Arabic RTL localization experience
• Background in e-commerce, ticketing, or payment integrations
• Familiarity with OWASP security best practices
