Technical Designer - Women's Apparel

We are an established designer and manufacturer of women's apparel. Our Technical Design Team seeks a Technical Designer to help with speccing, fittings and fit comments. The product categories include woven and knit tops, pants/bottoms, shorts, skirts, and dresses. This position will be reporting to a senior technical design member on the team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare samples for the fittings prioritizing urgent deliveries
• Measure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittings
• Create and update technical packages with measurements and construction details
• Take notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittings
• Help with drafting and sending fitting comments
• Maintain organization of fit samples for reference
• Support the needs of other departments if necessary

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred)
• 3+ years experience with Technical Design
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, sewing techniques, fabrications and trims
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Compensation

• $75,000-$90,000 annual salary
• Benefits include employer paid health insurance, 401K, paid time off
• This is a fully on-site position M-F 9AM-6PM
