Technical Solutions & Business Development Consultant (Telecom & Cloud)

Role Description About the job At Vertis, we are looking for a senior hybrid professional who combines business vision, strong technical knowledge and the ability to guide clients in building high-value solutions for the telecommunications industry.

We want someone who can turn loosely defined client needs into viable solutions, clear requirements, executable scopes and business opportunities, acting as the link between the client, engineering, product and executive leadership.

This role requires solid knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible , as these technologies are relevant to the automation, orchestration and infrastructure environments in which our solutions operate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and qualification meetings with large Telecom clients.
• Identify business and operational needs related to observability, automation, AI, cloud, data and infrastructure operations.
• Translate client needs into solution concepts, functional requirements, executable scopes and high-level architectures.
• Break down complex demands into requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria and implementation phases that engineering teams can execute.
• Discuss and define solutions involving Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, Kubernetes, APIs, cloud platforms and infrastructure automation .
• Work closely with engineering, product and architecture teams to validate technical feasibility and define the best solution approach.
• Support prioritization based on customer value, technical feasibility, effort, risk and business potential.
• Prepare technical and commercial briefings, business cases and solution proposals.
• Support opportunities from discovery through solution definition, proposal and handover to delivery.
• Identify opportunities that can evolve into reusable capabilities within Vertis products and platforms, rather than isolated customer-specific developments.
• Act as a consultant to clients, helping them define problems, goals, priorities and success metrics.
• Contribute to expanding existing engagements and identifying new recurring business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• 7 to 12 years of experience in telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, cloud, automation or enterprise software.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerized environments and infrastructure automation .
• Knowledge of networks, OSS/NMS, observability, APIs, public and private cloud, data and AI solutions.
• Ability to understand technical architectures and discuss solution alternatives with engineering and architecture teams.
• Ability to lead consultative conversations with both executives and technical teams.
• Experience translating business and operational problems into structured technical solutions.
• Analytical, organized and results-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Telecom operators, or vendors serving large operators, is a strong plus.

• Involvement in proposals, RFPs and technology services negotiations.
